You must not underestimate the importance of replacing missing teeth. Gaps cause healthy teeth to shift, and this could change your facial structure and cause speaking or chewing problems. Using dentures can help you keep these concerns at bay.
Fixed dentures are just as natural-looking and aesthetically appealing as their natural counterparts and can help you restore your healthy-looking smile. If you have damaged or missing teeth, wait no further.
Fixed dentures with implant supports can provide a lifetime of false teeth, complete with prosthetic gum tissue, to securely fit within the patient’s mouth. Fixed denture implants can help prevent further deterioration of the jawbone and gums and improve facial structure overtime.
Fixed dentures are the next best thing to your natural teeth. They fit securely in place by attaching to implants, so you can feel more confident.
And of course, one of the biggest benefits of fixed dentures is an entirely beautiful new smile that’s long-lasting.
Fixed dentures are synthetic replacements for missing teeth. They are affordable and offer patients a non-invasive alternative to dental implants. Sometimes also known as partial dentures, these implant-supported dentures are perfect for patients who do not require full dentures and only need to replace a few missing teeth. You can use them to fill multi-tooth gaps caused by facial trauma or teeth decay, among other common causes of tooth loss.
They can replace several missing teeth at the same time and without the need for invasive surgical procedures. Dr. Atcha and the team at New Teeth Chicago will take X-rays and create custom-made molds based on your precise requirements.
Fixed dentures are designed to last for years, but you should continue coming in to New Teeth Chicago Dental for exams twice a year. Dr. Atcha can evaluate your fixed dentures during these visits and ensure they’re still fitting you properly.
Typically, every few years, you need to have your dentures adjusted because your gums may change shape or your false teeth may become loose. But New Teeth Chicago Dental can provide all of the essential denture care services you need under one roof.

New Teeth Chicago Dental provides personalized denture services that are tailored to your unique needs. The entire process of getting fixed dentures just depends on your oral health and any bone loss issues you may have.
Dr. Atcha evaluates your teeth and gums to determine if you need any tissue grafting to support implants. If grafting is needed, this is usually the first step in getting fixed dentures. It can take several months to recover from a grafting procedure before Dr. Atcha can place implants.
But if you have enough bone tissue, Dr. Atcha may get you started with an implant procedure right away. He places anywhere from 4-8 implants into your jawbone, which serve as anchors for your new dentures once surrounding tissues heal.
After all of your surgical procedures are complete and you’re fully healed—which takes at least 3-4 months—you can start wearing your fixed dentures. Dr. Atcha spends time teaching you how to care for your new dentures and how they work.
With bar-retained dentures, for instance, Dr. Atcha simply attaches the dentures to your implants with clip-like attachments. Alternatively, Dr. Atcha could recommend ball-retained dentures, which involves snapping your dentures into place with stud attachment implants.
Full dentures last anywhere between 5 and 10 years, while partials have a maximum longevity of 15 years. It is important to note that your dentures cannot prevent bone loss or tissue shrinkage on the site of a missing tooth. This means your dentures may not fit well after a while, especially if you have them fitted immediately after extraction. Dr. Atcha can address this concern by relining your dentures and adding material under their base for enhanced comfort.
A new set of implant supported dentures can cost between $1,500 and $4,000 without taking into consideration materials, procedures to prepare your mouth, the implants, where the implants are placed, and the potential anesthesia for the procedure(s).
